Anthony Leon Joe was born in Buffalo, New York to a very young mother.  Consequently, Tony was raised by his maternal Grandmother who instilled within him the values of family, God, hard work, serving others, and entrepreneurship. 

Raised in the small town of Horseheads, New York; Tony learned to leverage his creative talents to entertain others at young age.  

Torn between his love for performing arts and athletics, after completing an extra role in Boomerang with Eddie Murphy in 1992, Tony focused on developing his Football talent.  Tony enrolled at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, New York and played Defensive Back for two years.  Tony went on to become a Consensus All American and was one of two players to receive a full scholarship to Virginia Tech.  Tony pursued a course of study in biology and theatre arts.  Tony was an active performer in both theatre and film in the Virginia Tech program.

After Virginia Tech, Tony got married and worked as a nurse and car salesman.   After a failed 8 year marriage, Tony relocated to New York City as a single man to focus on honing his acting craft.   Tony's progress to date is evident on his resume, footage and Filmography pages.

When not pursuing and auditioning for roles, Tony enjoys being single, further crafting his acting skills with renowned acting coach, Susan Batson and enjoying conversations with his daughter, Briannah.
